Health & medical conditions
You can fly with us during most of your pregnancy, but there are some restrictions. It's also a good idea to check what is covered by your insurance provider before you leave. Pregnant with 1 child
Between 4 and 2 weeks before your due date, you may only fly on flights of less than 4 hours and you'll need to complete a medical certificate to be approved by SAS.
For safety reasons, from 2 weeks before your due date, you're not permitted to fly with us.
Pregnant with twins, triplets or more
Between 12 and 8 weeks before your due date, you may only fly on flights of less than 4 hours and you'll need to complete a medical certificate to be approved by SAS.
For safety reasons, from 8 weeks before your due date, you're not permitted to fly with us.
Please note that if you're traveling on one of our partner airlines, different rules may apply.
How to upload your completed MEDIF form or medical certificate
Once your doctor has completed and signed your MEDIF form or certificate, just upload it under My trips. Otherwise you can upload your MEDIF form under xxx.
Please note that it can take up to 7 days for SAS to approve your form or certificate.
Flying with medical oxygen
If you need medical oxygen during your flight, let us know in advance and we can arrange it for you. You can also bring your own oxygen tanks or concentrator (POC) on board. Keep in mind that you'll need to complete a MEDIF form to be approved by SAS. Bringing your own oxygen
You may bring your own oxygen tanks or POC free of charge by adding it to your booking at least 48 hours before departure

If you're traveling with a POC, SAS will need to approve the model.
Bring enough charged batteries with you, as we cannot guarantee a power supply for charging batteries on board. Your batteries also need to last for at least 150% of the duration of your flight.
